I usually save 90% on my total bill. I use coupons when it is a buy one get one free item. So I get one item free and the coupon is doubled on the next item at my store. It can be done. Our family eats fine quality food at a minimal price.
ReplyDeleteI really need more help on this subject. Prices go through the roof and I cringe everytime I have to go through the checkout. I once saved $60 off my bill and I was thrilled.

I have just started using coupons more. And usally save about 10 to 20 bucks. But we dont have too many choices on stores since its such a rural area so we have 3 to choose from and one of those is walmart and we all know what a headache walmart is with coupons they wait till the end after everything is scanned. And if you have any coupons that are for a free product is takes the cashier 5 or more minutes to find the product on the receipt. Also if they cant get it to scan after try twice they say they can use it. I had a buy one get one free coupon on a product I thought was too high if you bought it without it but with the coupon figured I would try the product since I had never done so. Well the clerk worked for about 10 minutes trying to find it on the coupon and I told her over and over the price and she for some reason couldnt find it on the list. She acted annoyed that I didnt say forget it. Hubby even told me to forget it and told him only way I would do that is if she ran a return on both the products since they were to expensive without the coupon and I wouldnt have bought it which would take longer. So she finally gets a CSR to come over and lets her just type it in as coupon and the amount I told her and when I got home found out why she couldnt get the register to take any of the amounts she put in the product didnt ring up what it was priced on the shelf. SO walmart is NOT a good place to shop if you have coupons

I don't think I;ve saved more than $10.00 at one time for a full shop.
ReplyDeletei've saved over 20.00 dollars before
ReplyDeleteI use coupons as often as possible. I had two buggies loaded with groceries. My local grocery store was having a buy one get one free sale on alot of items. Plus they double coupons up to 50 cents. The total for the two buggies of groceries was $340. The people in line behind me started grumbling when they saw the stack of coupons that I handed the cashier. They fell silent when the cashier said, "Wow! You saved over $190." The cashier was so impressed that she called the manager over to see.
ReplyDeleteI save on average $20+ a week using coupons.
ReplyDeleteOur local Kroger used to have special triple coupon days. I would save my coupons and sometimes get about three or four bags of groceries for less than fifteen dollars. My savings would sometimes approach seventy percent. I can't imagine why they don't do that anymore? LOL
ReplyDeleteThere have been times I've saved $50 or more by using the double coupons and my coupons for free items! I LOVE seeing how much I save every trip! Hope I win these! harleychrys at hotmail dot com

ReplyDeleteI followed on twitter, cmg2009
ReplyDeleteThe most money my husband and I have saved at once on a grocery shop was about $17!! We had coupons for everything from Iams cat food to Swiffer mop cloths, to lunch meat and frozen steaks! I ALWAYS use coupons!! Thank you for the contest!
ReplyDeletetxgigggles@yahoo.com
We only use coupons for those things we already have on the grocery list, and we stick to the list! We may not save as much as I have read here, but we live on a fixed income, so every little bit helps.
ReplyDeleteThe highest percentage I've ever saved was 98% of my grocery bill! The store was tripling coupons and I matched up my coupons to the sales and best deals. Our local newspaper was doing a Coupon Contest, so I sent in my receipt and won the highest percentage savings for that store. :)

I usually can save around $20 when I shop. Thanks for a very useful giveaway.
ReplyDeleteWe usually save about 50% to 90% off our grocery bill.
ReplyDeleteyears ago I had tons of coupons- I mean tons and this was 20 plus years ago and Vons did triple coupons and had the card and in LV no tax. I had myself organized- amazing but true and walked out saving over 1000- yep 1000- as they bagged it I had my stuff and stuff to donate separated and drove directly to the shelter to donate- my car was packed but it felt good. I had challenged myself to do it and it was a neat challenge, I could not and did not want to store all of the items as we lived in an apt but it was such a rush just going in and doing. What was funny was my husband saw the receipt on the table when he got home from work and asked me what cabinet I had stuffed it in and what closet to be aware of when he atttempted to open. I have not lived there in a long time and have not done that well, but it was an awesome feeling and the shelter loved it. I did have 500-600 a few times since then but I have grown to the point of buy only what we need on hand. I usually save 30-40 when I shop but I also have grown tired- yep a woman growing tired of shopping so I make trips only when really needed and no crowds...and I do not live in an area with double coupons or really anything beside walmart...and sometimes when we are suppossed to have coupons we do not.
ReplyDeleteI try to use coupons as much as possible, I have used them to save over 20.00 on my grocery bill
ReplyDeleteI think my biggest save at one time would be about $10.

the biggest saving was just a week ago at $32.00 that was with store and manufacture coupons. normally it's about $10.00 in savings
ReplyDeleteAbout three years ago I went to target and filled up a cart with health and beauty products. 29 suave shampoo and conditioners. Tons of lotion, deoderants, face washes, toothpaste and make-up.I ended up getting 3 cents back.If I would have paid for it it would have cost nearly $400.00. I have saved up to $800 in one trip. But that was the only time I got change back.

I usually save at LEAST 75% on my bill using coupons and I'm in an area with no supermarkets that double and there isn't a CVS, either :(. But I do have a couple of stores and I make the best of it. I probably saved the most at the last Kmart double coupon week...around $100!!
ReplyDeletezavia(at)pie(dot)midco(dot)net
On average I save about $30-$40 each trip, but I still end up spending about $100!
ReplyDeleteI think my best was around $13 or so.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a coupon maven, although I am getting better. We have double coupons here, and I think my best trip saved $100.00 or so. I aim to get at least something free!. Thanks!
ReplyDelete$15
ReplyDeleteI love using coupons and I have saved roughly over 20 bucks!!
ReplyDeletedawns_horizen@yahoo.com

ReplyDeletetatertot374@sbcglobal.net
It varies for me, I don't save as much as some because I don't buy processed foods, so that limits my coupon use. I think the most I have ever saved in one shopping trip is around $30.00
ReplyDeleteverdere at gmail dot co
I won't shop without coupons. It is my goal to save at least 50% on each trip
ReplyDeleteover 250 dollars if we're talking retail
ReplyDeleteadrnlize at aol dot com
$40 or so.
ReplyDeleteimjessica(at)mail(dot)com
Today I saved $34.21-almost 50% saved. I have saved almost 100% at times-depending on what I am buying & what coupons are available. IMO it is plain foolish to shop without them-it takes a little bit of work & you get a whole lot of savings. I like the challenge, too;)
ReplyDeleteThank you!

ReplyDeletesaved 102.21 last week on my bill!
ReplyDelete22 dollars I think was the most Ive saved on one transaction. :]
ReplyDeleteclarkmurdock@yahoo.com
When they first started having coupons (yes Im that old :) I saved a lot because most coupons had no expiration date but todays coupons usually only have a 1 or 2 week use by date so I don't save as much as I used to but I still save about 40% off and when I have the extra time to go to different stores for their sales I save about 65%. I miss the no expiration date coupons
ReplyDeleteI saved $13.36, which is better than nothing but yet not enough!!!!
ReplyDeletelegab67156 (at) gmail (dot) com
I try to buy over 90% with coupons or store card deals. The most I've ever saved is over $40!
ReplyDeleteladyspy79@aol.com
I can usually save 20% if I remember my coupons. I have saved $40-50 at the checkout.
ReplyDeletersgrandinetti@yahoo.com
The best deal ever was during the Super Double Coupons event at Kmart. I drove two hours to Virginia Beach because they had a "superK". Before coupons - $418. AC - $32.16. I even have pictures :)
ReplyDeleteI once saved $148 off of $158 of stuff. After mail-in rebates, I made money.
ReplyDeleteSome years ago, coupons were more plentiful in the Sunday newspaper inserts. We used to collect them a paper recycler and take them once a month to the grocery for a big haul. Once we saved over $150 and spent only $10.
ReplyDeleteMaybe $20, but most were for free products. I don't find useful coupons near enough. I buy mostly store brand foods and no double coupon days :(
ReplyDeleteMy last shopping trip I spent 77.00 and saved 105.00...Hows that for saving? Love love coupons
ReplyDeleteallain99@gmail.com
Once I saved 12.00 on food. I could really use these, thanks.
ReplyDeleteerma.hurtt@sbcglobal.net

ReplyDeleteWell I just calculated my Shopping spending and saving for January Alone! And I pay 8% total MSRP on Merchandise! I'm very proud of myself that I'm able to do this. It's all about coupons, and Finding good deals! I saved $140 on clothes for my daughter and only spent $12 that day!! Thta's 12% for clothing!
ReplyDeleteIt can be done and my family uses all the Expensive products now. We use Pantene shampoo instead of Suave, all because of coupon and finding the right deal!! Some stores also let you use a BOGO coupon with a BOGO sale, to Get BOTH items Free! I know CVS does! Thanks for the great giveaway!!

ReplyDeleteCVS is a fun game I play. I rarely spend money there.. usually under a $1 because I use my ECB's. I highly recommend shopping there.
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway! I haven't saved nearly enough, I'm still prone to buying things because I have a coupon. I'm learning though!! I think the most I've saved was $49.85 ... but it was things I didn't NEED so don't know if it counts :(
ReplyDeletestep36576(at)gmail(dot)com
I'm a new subscriber!
ReplyDeleteI work hard to save about 50%. It's not easy when no one here doubles coupons. That would be a dream! Biggest dollar amount? I bought $400 worth of groceries for $150. Savings of $250!
ReplyDeleteI wish we had doubles here too.
ReplyDeleteI just saved 40.78 on a 71.00 grocery bill !!
ReplyDeleteMy personal best was spending $2.48 on a bill that should have been $98.17 :o)
ReplyDeleteI save at least 70% when I combine buying whats on sale and using my coupons. It's nice to have the extra items on hand and not have to run to the store every other day.
ReplyDeleteI buy 2 copies each of 2 different weekend papers and also print coupons off the internet. I save at least 50% off my grocery bill (and usually more) by matching up specials with the coupons. It takes a lot of time to coordinate, but it's well worth it!
ReplyDeletesuperdavefive(at)yahoo(dot)com
I am not a master of saving at the register. I am still learning, but I once saved about $2.50 off my bill. I was impressed with myself. I clip coupons each week, so when I go to the store I can save money.
ReplyDeletecandyskysaviorgirl@yahoo.com

ReplyDeleteabout 25 dollars
ReplyDeleteI only shop sales and coupons and two weeks ago it came to $90 and I paid $45 and cents...it was amazing...and they spit out a $5 coupon for My next purchase....YES kaysweep@Iserv.net
ReplyDeleteive saved over 900 dollars this year with coupons, add them to the sales and ive saved a ton! Works out perfect with the coupon doubling deals out there!
ReplyDeleteThe most I've saved was last week at Walgreens. I clipped Walgreens coupons, matched them with manufacturer's coupons, and brought my bill down from 27.96 to 7.03! And also got something called 'register rewards', which gave me $2 off my next order. The cashier was amazed, and the hour I spent matching coupons before I went was well worth it. Thanks for the cool coupon giveaway, I'd sure make use of these.

ReplyDeleteI saved $75.00 with clipping coupons and waiting for a sale and double coupons. It was a surprise because some of the sales were not announced, in store sale only. I had to have help loading all the extra grocery's into the car.

ReplyDeleteThe most i've saved at once is about $15. If I can, I'd like to offer a tip for others about buy 1 get one free coupons. If you hold out those products until the end to be checked out it's a whole lot easier for your cashier to find the prices when they have to enter them manually.
ReplyDeleteWe saved nearly $30 once and thought we did good. I would be thrilled to save even more. trinitygsd at yahoo dot com
