Each day from now through May 30, 2010, one laptop prize will be awarded to a U.S. winner. For every laptop won, one laptop will be donated to an African child through One Laptop per Child, an organization that creates educational opportunities for the world’s poorest children by providing each child with a rugged, low-cost, low-power connected laptop with content and software designed for collaborative, joyful, self-empowered learning. For your chance to win, simply enter the unique online code printed on participating Betty Crocker Fruit Flavored Snack packages on www.WinOneGiveOne.com.
Below is a video that shares some of the work that they are doing for the children in Africa.

My daughter and I cook meals for families that need them. She loves to help me take them to people who may have just had surgery or something like that as well as others who are just down on thier luck. It feels so good to help others!

The kids love to give to children that have no toys and food!
ReplyDeleteI encourage my son to give his toys that he is no longer using and give them to kids that don't have toys...

Oops, I hope this isn't a duplicate. My first comment didn't show up. My kids and I donate our gently used toys to Goodwill and Freecycle. We also volunteered some time at a nearby daycare to help out the 2-year-old class during recess.
ReplyDeleteMy son is only 21 month old but last xmas we donated his gently used toys and baby equipment. He is to young to understand but it never to early to show giving is a reward in itself.
