Make Money By Selling Your Kids Last Year's Halloween Costumes on eBay

Halloween Costumes can be real expensive if you buy them brand new and at the store (especially Disney costumes). One of the places that people look for costumes and their accessories is on eBay. You can list any costume that is in good condition on eBay to sell and make a profit. I do this every year and make a profit, except this year I gave my daughters last years costume to a child that was in need of one. This is a way to make some of the money you spend in the current year on costumes back. Last year I made enough to pay for the current years costume plus a profit of $5.

When listing your costumes be sure to leave a good description of the condition and clear picture of the item. The buyer will want to know if it has any tears or flaws before they place a bid on your item. A minor flaw will not keep all buyers away. Another tip, let your buyers know if it comes from a pet free or smoke free home. A lot of buyers have allergies and will buy from a person that is making that promise faster than someone that says nothing about it. The more info you tell your buyers about the item the better.

When you list an item, it is important to know what price to list the item at. Terapeak is a site that offers a FREE service to eBay sellers that gives you a look at the average selling price and listing strategies for the item. You will want to not list your item any higher than the average selling price to ensure a chance of getting a buyer for your item. There is also a function to help you build the title for your listing.

All costumes will not bring a profit, but if you use Terapeak to check for the average selling price you will set yourself on the right road.

I thought that was not only cute, but fitting for the mom of today. Most moms have the full load of after-school activities, shopping, and the budget. I know as a single mom I have no one else to share these responsibilities with, but even when I was married it was on me to handle. There are things that moms can do or use to make life more simplified like freezer cooking, scheduling reminders, shopping for groceries bi-monthly or once monthly, or money management sites like mint.com.

I personally do a little freezer cooking. I mostly make my breads and muffins for a month and freeze them. My daughter loves banana nut muffins and raisin bread so I try to have some on hand in the freezer. At times, I make ahead lasagna or enchiladas. I think I have said it once before, I try and limit my grocery shopping to once a month. I do, however, make a special trip for milk once a week. I have a strict budget that I layout for myself and hit it almost all the time. I am not at all perfect but strive to do my best.

What's my opinion?

I have tried the Tuscan Style Chicken Marsala with Garlic and Basil Seasoning Mix & the Szechuan Sweet & Sour BBQ and loved both. The Tuscan Style Chicken Marsala with Garlic and Basil was easy to put together. I used chicken cutlets (I got them at a really great price) and my local meat market had a great price on a pack of button mushrooms. My grandmother liked it so much that she wants me to buy the seasoning pack and make it again. My daughter's favorite was the Szechuan Sweet & Sour BBQ. I used chicken drumsticks and thighs and grilled them. This marinades in only 30 minutes and grilled nicely. The heat was not overwhelming (we do like things spicy around here though) and went nicely with chicken rice that I made to go on the side. I definately think they did well with the new seasons and marinades. I also loved the marinating dish which was a perfect size and helped when I was doing the chicken. I have not used the skewers yet, but like that they are stainless steel skewers.
